Meet Liz Bayes

Liz Bayes, often referred to as the “Third Detty,” is a stage manager, costumer, actor, and all-around herder of cats. A lifelong thespian, Liz helps keep all the parts moving at Detty Studios. When not on stage, she specializes in corporate education of developing personal and professional skills.

Costuming

Liz has been making theatre since she was in elementary school. Even back then, she did everything from costumes and make-up to set construction, all while also performing. She continued wearing all her theatrical hats through high school, working on and performing in musicals like "Li'L Abner" and "Disney's Aida." More recently, Liz has been costuming local school productions as well as everything Detty Studios. She has costumed musicals such as "Mean Girls the Musical," "The Nightman Cometh," "Evil Dead: the musical," "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" (with a cast of 30), and this spring will be taking her skills under the sea for "Disney's The Little Mermaid" (March 2025). Liz enjoys all areas of costuming, from creating practical and special effect pieces to organizing clothing racks.

When Liz isn't costuming or stage managing she can be found volunteering with local animal groups or promoting women's wellness.
